CONNECT Network - Terms of Use
The CONNECT Network is part of the ConnectED program, a peer workforce development program run by the NSW Users and AIDS Association (NUAA). The CONNECT Network is hosted on an online platform managed by NUAA.
The CONNECT Network is a professional network for AOD-sector living and lived experience workers and volunteers in NSW, their managers and/or employers, as well as consumer representatives.
By signing up to the CONNECT Network as a member, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below.
Registration
People wishing to become a member of the CONNECT Network are required to fill in the registration form on the platform. You will need to provide your name, organisation or who you are representing, name, email, and job role, which will be visible to other members of the CONNECT Network.
New registrations will be reviewed and approved.
New members will be required to sign up, activate their account and set their own password to access the platform, ensuring that your password remains private at all times.
Membership and Moderation
The CONNECT Network allows members to communicate and engage with each other in secure private groups.
Membership of the CONNECT Network is voluntary, as such, you can withdraw at any time.
At any time, you can request to have your User Account deleted by contacting [email protected].
Termination of a membership may occur at the discretion of the NUAA administrator based on a breach of The CONNECT Network terms of use (Terms of Use). As a professional network members are expected to behave professionally and use respectful language. Members who have been reported to have engaged in activity which is not deemed professional or respectful will have their membership reviewed and comments may be removed.
The platform is moderated during business hours (AEST) only.
Change of Terms of Use
These Terms of Use may be subject to change from time to time. Any changes will be posted to this page. Your use of the CONNECT Network platform or any content after the date of the new version of the Terms of Use applies, will constitute your agreement to the modified Terms of Use. If you disagree with such modification of the Terms of Use, you have the choice to end your membership and delete your Account, in the manner indicated above.
Intellectual Property and User Generated Content
The intellectual property, including copyright and trademarks, in all material available on the CONNECT Network website is owned by and remains with the author and/or owner of such content.
As part of your use of the site, you may provide comments, feedback, text, media and ideas to Site hosts and other users of the Site ("user content"). User content means all information submitted by you via the CONNECT Network website. You are solely responsible for your user content, please consider carefully what you choose to share. Any user content you post on or through this site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You assume all risks associated with the use of your user content. This includes any reliance on its accuracy, completeness, reliability, or appropriateness by other users, or any disclosure of your user content that personally identifies you or any third party. You agree that NUAA will not be responsible or liable to any third party or any user content posted by you or any other user of the site. All user content must comply with the standards in this terms of use and may be subject to removal if NUAA deem it is in breach of these standards. Your interactions with other users are solely between you and such users. If there is a dispute between you and any other user, we are under no obligation to become involved.

CONNECT Network - Privacy Policy
The CONNECT Network is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information. The CONNECT Network website is hosted by the NSW Users and AIDS Association (ABN 99 709 346 020).

Examples of Personal Information that the CONNECT Network collects include: names, addresses, professional email addresses, phone numbers, job role and organisation, honorary title, pronouns, Traditional Place name, sector, jurisdiction and location (work).
This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including: directly from you when you provide personal information to us, when you interact on the CONNECT Network, by telephone and email, via our website nuaaconnect.apac.hivebrite.com, from your website, from media and publications, from other publicly available sources, from cookies and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.
